ABOUT QATAR

About Qatar

Nestled in the northeasterly coast of the Arabian Peninsula, Qatar in recent decades has witnessed enviable milestones spurred by its abundant oil and gas resources, amidst the current thrust to nurture a knowledge-based economy towards sustainable development.  Its current stature, built through the vision of the Father Emir, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, and with the recent accession of his son, the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Qatar is poised to further build on its not-so-recent-past and present successes and accolades in the international community.
